Death Hits the High Notes
by GG Calpo
For fans of the Thursday Murder Club, meet: Meg, Barbara, Edna, Liz and Stefan.
When choir practice turns deadly, five retired teachers hunt a killer.
Join these golden-age sleuths as they follow the clues, protect their own, and prove that friendship is the strongest weapon against a killer.
This story blends friendship and family drama into one cohesive whodunit that I could not put down, quickly becoming a page-turner. . .The author did a great job in staging this mystery with a multi-plot storyline, where the suspects are hiding in plain sight. . . when I thought I had a handle of who was doing what to whom, the author changed direction with strategically placed twists that enhanced my reading pleasure. Meg and her friends are a hoot and I like their diversity of who they are, and I especially enjoy their banter. Overall, this was an enjoyable read, and I hope there are more adventures with Meg, Barbara, Edna, Liz, and Stefan.
